Photo Quests: Leaves Are Turning

Intro: I don't know if it's the heat or if Autumn is coming (or both), but some of the leaves are turning. I'm so happy when I start to see the signs of the new season. The leaves are just so beautiful when they change. It's one of my favorite things! What about you?

Quest Ending: I know that in the weeks ahead, I'll see more leaves changing. I hope to capture these changes on my other photo quests. It's such an amazing time to see nature going through seasons, too (so do we!). Things do transition, nothing stays the same. 🍂

Many blessings,

Photo Quests: Busy Bees

Intro: I stepped into the summer air to take photos. I wasn't sure what to exactly expect. I mean, flowers for sure, but not bees, especially not a bumble bee. But I came across one - which I was excited about. I watched it work among the cone flowers. A busy bee!

Quest Ending: I discovered some honeybees, as well. All of them hard at work. I loved seeing them flit from flower to flower. While summer isn't my favorite, I do enjoy the little moments like these. They make the heat more bearable. Thank you so much, bees!

Photo Quests: Adding The Irises

Intro: I was outside in the warm sun taking pictures. I seem to do that a lot. So, while I was out, I scoped out the irises. I knew there were a couple blooms, so I added them to my own collection (my photos). They're always so beautiful, and I'm pleased that I preserved them.

Quest Ending: Every spring is a wonderful season when the irises bloom. They're one of those constant flowers that come back, bringing with them a sense of hope. That's kind of how I feel about the irises, and I'm so glad that I could preserve their life in my photos.

Many blessings,

Photo Quests: Admiring The Lilacs

Intro: I had taken photos outside with my camera. I was looking for flowers, and I definitely found some at home. The lilacs were some of the ones I discovered. They're beautiful, and smell wonderful, too. I was excited to see the bush in full bloom.

Quest Ending: I'll never forget the scent that Lilacs have. They may be one of my favorite plants. Of course, I find it extremely hard to not like any plant. I'm just so grateful that I'm close to so many of them. It's truly a magical spring. Like, always. Thank you, Lord.

Many blessings,

Photo Quests: Life Is Growing

Intro: There are a few flowers blooming - two are violets and daffodils. When I went outside with my camera, my goal was to capture growth. I was able to find some plants making progress in growing. Soon, there'll be flowers. Like you, I'm sure, I can't wait!

Quest Ending: The photos I took may not be thrilling but seeing them gives me joy. When life is overwhelming, I look to nature. It fills me up with hope when I see life growing. It's so encouraging to witness new life emerging from the ground. And may they keep growing!

Photo Quests: A Winter Walk

Intro: It was a cold day, and there was no snow. I went for a short walk to take pictures. I could hear the coyotes yipping somewhere in the canyon. I even found an old nest. And plenty of leaves. So many of them. I had to pick one up. I realized winter was leaving.

Quest Ending: I discovered an Iris trying to grow amidst the fallen leaves. Spring was truly coming. Walked around some more and found the trees inspiring. Took a few more photos. The cold was affecting me, so I stopped my walk and went into my place. It was pleasant.

Many blessings,

Blog Update: Exciting Stuff Ahead

There are changes to the blog. Two new pages to discover. One of them is what I'm currently reading, and the other is My Ministry. I haven't updated the My Ministry one yet, but it should be done sometime this week. I also have an email address specifically for my blog. You can send me an email on the Contact Me page, so that's easier. Because of that, I got rid of the contact me form on the right sidebar of this page. I also plan to change my blog URL address next month. I can't wait to turn it into a website and not just a blog.

Another thing I took down was the daily Bible verse originally on the right sidebar. It's now on my Facebook page here. I'll post daily Bible verses on the Facebook page instead. The Book of the Week will remain and be updated weekly. Besides those two things, I'm also going to make minor changes to the other pages on this blog. If you can think of a page that I should have, let me know! I'd love to hear it. So, yeah, and because I have a specific email address now, you can email me private prayer requests. You can email me here.

For the Facebook page, there's daily Bible verses and also quotes. The quotes will be daily, as well. They used to be every other day. Just so many exciting things ahead. I'll be getting back to some more fun with my posts, as well. I plan on trying a few restaurants and other cool places. In general, I'm hoping that this spring will be a good one as I keep going with my writing and photography. Last year was incredibly hard, so my hopes for this one are tentative. And I'm taking it one day at a time. Because that's all I can do sometimes.

If you have any ideas for pages, blog posts, or anything else, let me know. I'd love to hear them. And if you're an author or business owner, send me an email here for inquiries. My focus for this blog, soon to be website, is to bring hope, comfort, and joy to my readers (and fellow wanderers). I still struggle myself, and I know what it's like. I pray all these changes will bless my friends, family, and strangers. Thank you for following my blog/Facebook, and for your comments, I greatly appreciate them.

Many blessings,

Photo Quests: Dreaming of Spring

Intro: Winter is still here. Don't get me wrong, I like the colder weather, but my heart always longs for flowers. Spring is also my second favorite season, so I'm kind of excited for it. Because of that, I'm sharing photos from a past springtime with you today.

Quest Ending: Looking at these photos provides a sense of warmth. I can't wait to see the flowers blooming again. Actually, each year I search for them, always ecstatic when I spot some. Flowers are such a wonderful symbol of rebirth. Hope you find a renewal this spring.

Many blessings,
- Grace Thorson

Photo Quests: Stepping Back

Intro: I simply didn't have any time to take photos this week, so I had to take a step back. Instead of posting more present photos for today's quest, I included ones from the past. My quest was to find fitting photos to share with you, my readers. Hope they inspire. 💙

Quest Ending: I enjoyed finding various photos for today's quest, so maybe I'll do more of these in the future. I liked the feeling of choosing which photos I'd share with you. It was fun to try something different. Did you have a favorite photo from this list? Let me know.

Let's Talk About Books: My TBR Books
