Let's Talk About Books: My TBR Books

I have a TBR shelf. Most people do. Mine has a stack of books in different genres. Some of them have been sitting there for a while, and some are newer. I plan to read all of them at some point. I don't know when I'll get around to all of them (I promise, someday!), but I have a solution to make my choosing easier. I recently purchased a glass jar that came with some small rolled-up paper. It's a genius idea! Why? It works by writing down all of your TBR books on the little wrapped-up paper. Once you've done that, you roll it back up and place it in the jar. When you're ready to pick a new book to read, you simply pull out a paper. The fun thing is that it's random. You don't know what book you're going to read next.

Honestly, I really like this, because I can have a hard time choosing which book to read from my TBR. I have so many random books. I have a book about owls, the book, To Kill A Mockingbird (which I haven't read yet), and one about the treasure of Oak Island. So random. Haha. I guess I just really like different things. Most of the time, my brain is all about mysteries (not crime), lost treasures, exploration, Aztecs and Mayans, and then, owls. I love the unknown! Makes sense since my enneagram is 5w6. (What's yours?). I don't think like other women my age. I don't like reading much romance. I like adventure, books with information/facts in them, and the classics (my favorites). I often feel alone in this!:(

Maybe I'm just strange. I never did fit in as a kid. I was quiet and serious. I always believed that life had to be taken seriously. I was always the weird kid. And I still don't fit in!! My likes and dislikes are different from other people. I don't follow the crowd. I do my own thing. Maybe that's my problem. But to be honest, I've grown to like it. I may never be in a group of women who like girly stuff. It's not me, and I refuse to fit in. Sure. I do like pink, but I also like black. Does anyone else feel the same way? Sorry, I'm getting off course. Back to my books! I haven't tried the glass jar with paper yet. I'm currently reading a new book and two audiobooks. But when it's time, I'll give it a go. AHH! I love reading!!! 💓

If you like the glass jar I got, you can get one from Temu here. I know. I shop from Temu. I've not had any problems with Temu. I've made many purchases from them. So, if you don't like Temu, you may be able to find something similar from somewhere else. But I don't actually know. I just saw it on Temu, and I had to have it. And it's the first time I've seen something like this. Personally, I think it's so cool! I can't wait to plow through my shelf and read all of the books! Now, I'll make it random with my little glass jar, and I'll finish them. Darn it. I'll conquer that mountain of books! One day! *What is your TBR shelf like? 📖

Blog Update: Learning About Flowers

It's been a while since I posted an update. There aren't any blog updates other than the domain name is going to change next month. It'll no longer have the blogspot at the end of it. This will make it easier to find the blog itself with a shorter url. I'm really excited about getting it changed! Finally:) It'll be so much nicer! Don't you agree? 💓

As for life updates, there is one in particular. I recently signed up on Penn Foster to take lessons in floral design. At the end of my lessons and exams, I'll receive a career diploma for it. The reason I chose this is because I love learning and also, flowers. So, you could probably tell by all the flower photos I take. I can't help it. I see a flower or plant, and I have to take a picture and study it. I'm looking forward to learning all I can about them.

To improve my knowledge, I purchased a few books. I found some at the bookstore and some online. I got a journal, too. The journal will be a journey of learning. I'll document my learning of all the flowers. Now, this might seem silly, but I ordered a hoodie, cup, and sticker of Penn Foster. I know that technically I'm not going to school to get a degree online, but I wanted to experience it, anyways. And to be honest, I do plan on getting an associate's degree in something later (after the lessons). I'm just... super happy about it!

I've always wanted to go to school but didn't want to spend the money on it. I do have two career diplomas - one in web design and the other in graphics design. But still, it's not the same as pursuing a degree - which I hope to attain in the near future! It's been a dream of mine, so I'm going to do whatever it takes to reach it. Maybe throw in some courses and career diplomas in there, too! I really do hope it happens. I'm praying about it.

Well, that's it for life/blog updates. I'll try to add more updates as things change. A big thank you to anyone that supports my writing and school. Really appreciate all the lovely encouragement! Even though it's hard, I'm doing what I can. So, thank you again!

Business Spotlights: SmasHouse Burgers & Tacos

I was at Art Under The Elms with my brother and his family. We had already explored all the vendors at the event. We were hungry so we made our way over to the food trucks and stands. While walking around, I spotted the orange food truck that was SmasHouse Burgers & Tacos. I had seen them on Facebook, so I was extremely curious. We all decided to try one of their special burgers. We got in line and waited for our turn. I was so excited to finally try one of their hamburgers since I had heard so much about them. 💓

Once it was my turn, I asked for the Smash Burger Combo with a fry and drink. I just had a feeling that it was going to be absolutely delicious, and I couldn't wait. I put my order in and stepped aside for my name to grab my meal. After waiting for a few minutes (not long at all), my name was called. I grabbed my hamburger, fries, and soda from the truck. We all made our way to a bench under some trees. It was evident that everyone was enjoying their meals. The hamburger was so good! I did hold the onions and pickles, because they're not my favorite, but it was yummy without! We all chomped down on those burgers.

We finished our burgers, and our tummies felt full. I almost ate the whole thing of mine. I really think that SmasHouse's Burgers lived up to the hype. I want to get another one! I also know they're located on Main Street in Lewiston, so I want to have another burger or just try something else. On that day, I'm so glad that we went ahead and tried them. I'll be back to pick up some for my family. So, yeah, if you get the chance, check them out! I highly recommend trying their burgers. I haven't tried the tacos, but I'm sure they're just as wonderful as their burgers. So grateful that we have them in the valley! 😀

One-Year Anniversary: My Blog Turns 1

My blog made it to its one-year anniversary. A lot has happened during that one year. I started my blog with hopes that it would reach others. The Facebook page has grown during that time. Thanks to you! With the growth, I've reached restaurants, authors, and many different places. In this, I've enjoyed spotlighting people and their work. It's been an exciting year, but not without some difficulty. I've fought hard to keep my blog going. There were a few weeks or days where no posts were done. But I was determined to forge ahead, not letting anything stop me. And here we are! It's turned one - a whole year.

The photo collage above that I created is a look back at photos on my blog. I've come through a fire that almost destroyed our home, health issues with my family, and my own personal struggles. It hasn't been easy. But with God by our side, we conquered those days. I'm hoping that I can continue to write in the days to come. I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future. God will be with me, and so, I won't be afraid. I'll keep going. I plan to spotlight more people and businesses. Take lots of new photos, share my stories, and hopefully reveal a new book. It's all coming this year or the next.

In my blog, I've had photo quests, author interviews, guest writers, business spotlights, book reviews, devotionals, and much more. I even had a Christmas advent calendar in December. My Facebook page has grown from one follower to more than a hundred. I've watched it grow, and in turn, I've found growth, as well. I've burst out of my shell and social anxiety to spotlight people and their businesses. I've done things that I wouldn't normally do. Those days have been filled with anxiety. But it was so worth it, and I really want to push myself more for another year of blogging. I'm optimistic about everything.

As we go forward, I would like to thank my fellow wanderers. I always enjoy the comments that are left on my blog posts and on my Facebook page. I look forward to encouraging and hopefully, inspiring other readers. I want my blog to help, reach, and motivate those that need it. You're always welcome here! And I'm also open to any ideas, too. I love to hear what people think. If you haven't followed my Facebook page here for Wandering With Grace, I'm trying to reach 150 followers. Once I do, there will be a small Facebook giveaway on that page. So, please, if you can, follow! Thank you so much! 💓

Let's do a few more years together.

Many blessings,

Wandering At Home: Searching For Clovers

I found it before - the elusive clover. It was many years ago that I chanced upon one in our backyard. I can't remember if it was three-leaf or four-leaf, but I found one, nevertheless. Since it's St. Patrick's Day, I decided to search for one. I had eaten a really quick lunch and headed outdoors with my camera. I was skeptical at finding one, but I wanted to search, anyways. It's a cloudy, rainy day, and I went without a coat on. I love grey days, so it didn't bother me much. I actually always thought I'd do well in a country where it rained all the time, but I don't know for sure. But I digress, I walked around the green patches of grass.

I found many weeds, grass, and flowers amidst the green patches. All the green was, and is, lovely. My hopes of finding a clover were looking slimmer as I walked around, however. I came across some budding daffodils, purple violets, and flowering weeds. I enjoyed seeing that spring was upon us. Even though, there is often hardship, beauty still remains. All the greenery and flowers remind me of this. I don't know if hardships will ever truly lessen for anyone, but beauty is ever constant. You can especially find it in nature. I guess that's why I love take photos of the living, to preserve it for myself, and others. Beauty will live on.

As I was walking, I discovered some desert parsley, which was surprising to me. I usually think of it as a summer plant, but I guess I never noticed it blooming this early. I then found some other kind of plant that I have no idea of, and also, some pretty moss on a railroad tie. Still no clovers. I came across something that looked like one, but I had a feeling it wasn't. So, I pressed on. With spring coming near, I couldn't wait for more flowers to bloom. The birds were already anticipating it. I could hear the many birds chirping away. Everything seems to wait. Almost waiting impatiently, though, like the earth can't wait.

A few droplets on a blade of grass. It had previously rained. While the earth gets a shower to prepare it for rebirth, I admire its whole process, impatiently. On St. Patrick's Day, I felt like I enjoyed the holiday the best way I could by looking for clovers. And truly, just taking in the greenery around me. I do have a little Irish in me, but not a lot. I always just like to celebrate this holiday in a simple manner, not doing much, except for being out in nature - one of my favorite places to be. I didn't do the traditional meals or drinks, only a walk for thirty minutes. It was really good to stretch the legs and take some wonderful photos. 💚

Close to the end of my walk, I found more of those plants that looked like clovers. I'm certain they weren't, and aren't, but it was fun to find them. They resembled close enough for me, and I was satisfied with them. While I didn't find any clovers, I still found treasure. And a little bit of luck. Getting outside for a brief walk was beautiful, and going on a hunt for clovers was pleasant. I felt blessed by God for this day. I'm just thankful to Him for His creation, and the beauty that I get to discover in it. By the way, today's post was special. It's a new series that will be posted on Mondays. Not every Monday, but it'll be posted randomly. I hope you liked today's post, and I pray you have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Many blessings,

Blog Update: What Would You Like To See More Of?

Winter is still here. January was a surprise, however. It didn't really snow during then. January and February seemed to switch places. It's been bitterly cold here, and it's even supposed to snow some more. While I like Winter, I'm eager for Spring. Once Winter is over, I think everyone will be more settled. I, myself, will find the warmer days easier. And with the change of seasons, I'll be more active in writing. I'd also like to do more photography when I can. I'm just excited for the new changes, and I actually can't wait for them all.

With so many changes coming, I wrote a post especially for that today. What would you like to see more of? Do you like my devotionals and photo quests more than the other posts? What do you prefer? Or what would interest you? I'm ultimately looking to adjust for my readers to see what does and doesn't work. If you have any ideas, be sure to leave your comments on this blog post. The comments will be really helpful in me being able to see what everyone enjoys. I want people to like my posts and find encouragement from them.

As for the blog itself, it'll soon to turn into a website, plus my blog, of course. The pages on here have been updated for the time being. With the Facebook page, I've created images to share there each day. I don't really plan on using any other social media space. At least, for right now. In my writing, I'm working on some poems, and the book, as well. I try to find extra time for all of this - which is something I don't always have. But I want to pursue my writing and maybe, a little photography. We'll see what happens in the next few months.

If you have any other ideas, please let me know. And if you'd like me to spotlight your business, do a book review, or anything else, send me an email at: thewanderingwithgrace@gmail.com

Blog Update: Exciting Stuff Ahead

There are changes to the blog. Two new pages to discover. One of them is what I'm currently reading, and the other is My Ministry. I haven't updated the My Ministry one yet, but it should be done sometime this week. I also have an email address specifically for my blog. You can send me an email on the Contact Me page, so that's easier. Because of that, I got rid of the contact me form on the right sidebar of this page. I also plan to change my blog URL address next month. I can't wait to turn it into a website and not just a blog.

Another thing I took down was the daily Bible verse originally on the right sidebar. It's now on my Facebook page here. I'll post daily Bible verses on the Facebook page instead. The Book of the Week will remain and be updated weekly. Besides those two things, I'm also going to make minor changes to the other pages on this blog. If you can think of a page that I should have, let me know! I'd love to hear it. So, yeah, and because I have a specific email address now, you can email me private prayer requests. You can email me here.

For the Facebook page, there's daily Bible verses and also quotes. The quotes will be daily, as well. They used to be every other day. Just so many exciting things ahead. I'll be getting back to some more fun with my posts, as well. I plan on trying a few restaurants and other cool places. In general, I'm hoping that this spring will be a good one as I keep going with my writing and photography. Last year was incredibly hard, so my hopes for this one are tentative. And I'm taking it one day at a time. Because that's all I can do sometimes.

If you have any ideas for pages, blog posts, or anything else, let me know. I'd love to hear them. And if you're an author or business owner, send me an email here for inquiries. My focus for this blog, soon to be website, is to bring hope, comfort, and joy to my readers (and fellow wanderers). I still struggle myself, and I know what it's like. I pray all these changes will bless my friends, family, and strangers. Thank you for following my blog/Facebook, and for your comments, I greatly appreciate them.

Many blessings,

Book Excerpt From Wandering With Grace

Today, I'm sharing an excerpt from the book I'm currently writing. The title of the book is Wandering with Grace: A Journey of Faith. When will the book be done? Good question. It'll be done late this year. The excerpt is from the second chapter - A Life of Passion.

Life wasn’t about passion, or at least, in my life it wasn’t. It was simple, we didn’t have cell phones back then. The internet hadn’t arrived until a few years later. I miss those times, but I didn’t really have a passion for anything that I noticed. I loved dinosaurs as a little girl. After watching
Land Before Time, I played with my dinos like they were in the movie. They would cry out, “earthshake.” Sure, I loved dinosaurs, I liked a lot of things. As a child, the first thing I wanted to be was a surgeon. Crazy, I know. That’s because I enjoyed science, and especially biology. I found it fascinating. But did I become a surgeon? No, I didn’t. I didn’t claim a true passion for anything, even though there were options.

When I grew up, I didn’t feel like an adult. I didn’t feel mature. I played around with the ideas of pursuing something in college. I never did. Part of me was too terrified to attend a real college. I was nervous about being alone and around people I didn’t know. So, I didn’t do anything. I did take a course in web design, but that wasn’t my passion. I think as we’re younger, we’re kindly suggested or pushed into college right after graduation. Do I regret that? Some of me does. I wish I had pursued something. It did save me money in the long run, but honestly, I did want to attend college. I just didn’t have the guts. The world kind of makes it like a profession is all that defines us. We should be a doctor or something else important. While there is nothing wrong with this, it can put us in a box.

I was struggling to get out of the box I had put myself in. I wanted to be important. I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, but I had no idea how. So many avenues to explore. I had many various interests and passions. It was all too much. I was just overly overwhelmed and anxious. I also didn’t want to spend money on a choice I would later regret. Guess what? I did nothing. In my mind, I wanted to attend college, because it was the smart thing to do. I hoped to expand my knowledge. The allure of learning had tempted me to go for it. I had this image in my head of going to college meant you were smarter. It doesn’t always lean that way. So, I had romanticized academics. In the end, I didn’t go to college. I found myself working multiple sales jobs – which was fine, but it wasn’t my passion. What even was my passion? What was I looking for?

There are those that discovered their passions at an early age. They knew exactly what they had been called to do. The path for them was an easy choice. It seemed like most people knew exactly what they wanted. I had no clue. What do I say if someone asks me what my passion was? I couldn’t pinpoint what that was. While I watched friends pursue a profession of their choice, I struggled with my future. But I think our passions can take on different roads. We can revisit old interests and pursue them when we’re older. Often that happens. We can also discover a new passion or even have more than one that we love. I’ve found that to be true for my life. And I found one that I could pursue.

Writing has become a passion, but it started when I was kid. I loved to write my own little books with stories I had created. I wrote some fantastical ones, but I didn’t see myself being an author. For some reason, it just wasn’t a choice. I had kind of locked that away in the back of my mind, even though I enjoyed creating them. I used to take paper, cut it up, and staple it together. Then, I would include my own drawings and a story. I tried selling them to family members. I still have a couple of them packed away. I occasionally pull them out and look them over. It often brings a joyous smile to my face.

I struggled in grammar as a child. I didn’t know or really care about the subject. I loved to read books, that wasn’t a problem. But when it came to writing, I didn’t know what I was doing. I got horrible grades. You would think I would be at least good, but I wasn’t even that. To be honest, my writing was poor. In fact, my writing wouldn’t improve until I was much older. I forced myself to learn the craft. I wanted to write well, so I took on book reviews and album reviews – which improved it. I was proud of myself for the writing I did. I also had a couple of blogs during my young adult years. I finally was slowly liking writing. I even dabbled in poetry. It inspired me to attempt a few book ideas, but none of them were serious. It wouldn’t be until I was in my late 20’s that would change everything.

During my 20’s, I began a fiction book that is still in the works. I plan to finish it this year. But I did write my first book, Butterfly Wings – which is a devotional with poems. I’m so proud of myself for sticking through with it, especially because of my past. This is proof that you can practice and improve in writing. I do agree that some have an innate talent from the get-go. I didn’t, so I had to work hard at it. I still feel like I’m an amateur at it, and I think I’ll always feel that way (it won’t matter how improved I become). School from the past will remind me of my shortcomings, but for the time being, I’m working hard. I’m certain I’ll never become an expert, but my tenacity will be strong in writing. I have many books I wish to finish, so I’m not giving up. For the time being, my passion has become writing, and photography, as well. Both together. Evenly loved.

My passion for the future is to have a few books under my belt. I just hope my passion is in line with encouraging and inspiring other people. Like I mentioned earlier, I just wanted to make a difference as a kid, and I plan to do that by writing books now. Sometimes I ignore my writing and become discouraged. These days are hard. Even if it doesn’t reach a lot of readers, I wish to reach at least one. Only then would my writing be worthwhile. Of course, I also enjoy writing, so I’ll probably keep at it for a couple of years.

But I think the deep part of my heart still wants my writing to impact someone for the good. I’ll never be well-known, but I pray that Jesus would become well-known through it. That is my goal, along with reaching people because of it. My biggest passion is bringing God glory. I said that I didn’t know what to do with my life, but I discovered that you could bring God glory through what you do. I didn’t become a surgeon or a paleontologist, but that’s okay. I’ve come to peace with it. It wasn’t meant for me, and I humbly believe that writing in some magical way became my purpose. Wait. Not magical but predestined.

I hope you enjoyed this excerpt from the book I'm writing. If you'd like to read my other book, Butterfly Wings, you can get a copy on Amazon here or at the bookstore ...And Books, Too! (andbookstooonline.com) Thank you so much!

Many blessings,
- Grace Thorson

Christmas Blog Advent: Day 25 - A Late Christmas Greeting

Merry Christmas. I realize it's late to wish this greeting to you, but I hope you had a lovely one, or if you're still having celebrations. Me? I'll probably leave my Christmas decorations up for a little while longer. I don't really want Christmas to leave. I'll eventually take them down in January, just not right now. How about you? Are you leaving them up or taking them down? It would be interesting to know what you're doing with them. 💓

My Christmas spent with family members was wonderful. We made new memories together. I got to visit Locomotive Park with my Dad to see the lights. Go out shopping with my Mom. Hand out presents to my niece and nephew. Ate yummy food with my family. Decorated. Sent out cards. It was fun. To be honest, I was really worried about this Christmas. I didn't know how everyone would feel. I wanted it to be comforting for my whole family.

The best gift was ending 2024 in a pleasant way. It was a hard year, and I'm thankful that we got to rest somewhat. And that, my brother wasn't in the hospital. Thank you, God! As we end Christmas, I'm wishing that everyone has been able to rest, and is now ready for the new year. While I'm not anxious to take down decorations, I'm looking forward to 2025. May it be a good year for all of us, and I'm praying many blessings for my readers.

Christmas Blog Advent: Day 10 - New Holiday Photos

Hello, there! My name is Grace, and I'm the author of this blog. I needed new photos of myself for social media and Christmas, so I went outside with my camera for them. I'm no expert when it comes to taking photos like these, but I experimented with them, anyways. I then selected six of my photos to share with you. 🎄 Truly, I've really been in the holiday spirit, and I wanted new photos for Christmas. There was no snow yet, but I didn't want to wait. Maybe. Just maybe I might take more when it does snow. That would be fun! 💙

What did you think? I hope you liked my photos. I may do more in the future. It would be nice to do something creative next time. Have any ideas? Let me know! Thank you! 💜

Many blessings,

Blog/Life Update: 15,000 Words, My Health, and This Christmas

November - it's one of my favorite months of the year. Actually, any of the ber months are. This November is different in that I chose to decorate for Christmas early. Christmas just makes me happy, and I love to put up my lights, or really, any decoration. I'm just excited about this holiday season. It's special for a couple of reasons. My family survived a really horrible summer, so this season is comforting for us. We can fully celebrate what we got through and be thankful to God for keeping us up above all of those many struggles.

My health is fine right now. It could be better, though. As for losing weight, I haven't done the best. It's been incredibly difficult to exercise when I don't feel well. I sometimes don't have the energy for it. I know that you can lose weight without exercising, but I also want to have better stamina. To combat this, I've recently started a new exercise where I use a step that I found on Amazon. It's easy in that I can just pull the step out and do 15 minutes of stepping on and off of it. I wind up sweating quite a bit with the step. I don't know if I'll be successful during the holidays with my eating, but I'm going to try to improve with this.

Today, I reached 15,000 words on the first draft of my book - Wandering With Grace. I'm so happy that it's coming along. I should have 60,000 words finished before Christmas (this is the first draft). I didn't mention it in my earlier posts, but I have a subtitle for this book. It's called A Journey of Faith. I'm also going to create the book cover myself like I did with my other book, Butterfly Wings. The book I'm writing right now will have some of my favorite photos in it. There will even be a "photo gallery." I can't wait to share it all with you so that I can take you on God's journey with me. (should be self-published next year.)

For Christmas, it's going to be quiet for the family - which will be nice. The only big thing I have planned is to have a post each day on my blog for advent. That's right. There will be a blog post up each day for December until Christmas Day. For fun, I'll also have two separate giveaways to enter during December, so watch out for both of them. But I'll probably take a short break after Christmas day, however. Then, be back to blogging on the 31st. I'll have a post up for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Those are my plans, anyways. 💓

Did you like my post today? If you'd like to keep up with my posts and updates, be sure to like or follow my Facebook page here. Thank you so much!

Blog Update: Taking A Few Days Off

I'm taking a few days off. Kind of like a break. I just won't be on as much until things settle in my life. To get more into detail, a family member is having surgery. I want to be present to help them out, and not have to worry about blogging. There'll still be a post for this Wednesday, because it's an easy one to do. I also won't be posting anything on Facebook except a link to my blog post for today and Wednesday. This won't mean, however, that I'll not be writing or coming up with ideas. It's just that I won't be doing much in the time being. Once the surgery is completed, and my family member is healing well, I'll be back.

While I help my family, I'll still be working on my book. I don't want to stop writing, as I have my own deadline set for it. I find time to write 500 words each day. I usually enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while I write. A lit candle usually is by my side, as well. My ultimate plan for the book is to be finished with the rough draft before Christmas. It's a discipline that I want to keep up. I feel like I need to write this book. It's called Wandering with Grace. I already blogged about it and what it's focus is. You can read more on it here.

The book, Wandering with Grace, is going well. I'm writing stories, the history behind my photos, and placing a gallery that would be within the middle of the book. I'm hoping to have it self-published next year. Any spare time that I have, I'm also working on my other project - which is the White Heron. I don't know if both will be finished next year, but that would be awesome if it came true. I have many ideas that can't get finished soon enough. But I tell myself, they'll get done. I just have to be consistent. My next project after the Wandering with Grace and White Heron, is another book. Imagine that! But I don't want to give out too much info on what's next on the horizon. It's just really exciting.

Thanks for being a reader of my blog. I enjoy sharing my life journey with everyone. I don't know if people like it, but I look forward to writing my excitement for things. I just don't want anyone to get tired of reading about the books I'm working on. I'm eager, and I hope people are somewhat that way, too. I have to be patient, however, and that's a tough one for me. I want to finish my books now, but it takes discipline, hard work, and a strong focus to get them all done. I honestly don't know what's down the road from here, but I'm so determined and stubborn to get my projects completed. So, yeah, there's much to do in the next months ahead. Within that time, I pray that my writing encourages, inspires, and brings a sense of love to you. Thank you so much! (Could you pray for my family member?)

Many blessings,

New Book In The Works: Wandering With Grace

I'm working on a new book. I know that I mentioned another project - the White Heron. But, I feel like I should pursue this project right now. This doesn't mean I won't be working on the White Heron, I will be, just not as much. I kind of want to take my time with the White Heron. I plan on perfecting it, so while that goes slowly, I'll be on my new project. What is this new project? It's Wandering With Grace. The same title as my blog.

The idea of Wandering With Grace will be a book with stories/reflections and some of my photography. I'm super excited about it, and I think it's going to be a good thing. It won't be a devo like my first book, Butterfly Wings (you can find this book on Amazon or at ...And Books, Too! But, it's a project that I hope to have finished soon. When? I don't know exactly, but it shouldn't take too long to write. It will, however, be next year sometime.

What to expect? The project will be focused on my journey, stories, and photos. It won't be a coffee table book, but it will most likely be paperback. A photo will be included with each chapter, too. That's what I'm thinking, anyways. My plan is to compile all of these together to make one cohesive book. My purpose will be to encourage, inspire, and bring a sense of wonder. Life is to be celebrated. Even when things are hard, there's goodness.

Those are my plans; however, I don't know what the future holds. Life has become unpredictable, I think, for everyone. The next months could be crazy on a global front. Next year might be a disaster. Fear seems to run rampant. I just know that I'm going to hold onto hope, because it's all I have. I'll continue to find joy in anything I can, and I'll try to shine a light for everyone. If I can help just one person, I'll have accomplished my goal.

For the end of this summer, to fall, and then to winter, I'll be blogging and writing. I feel the need to write, so I'm pursuing that wholeheartedly. In my heart, I long for happiness, and I want to express my love for others. I also pray that these months for everyone will be life-changing, and in a beautiful way. If you need prayer, send me an e-mail (contact form on right sidebar), or leave a comment. Thank you for stopping by today. Many blessings,
