As a young Christian, Kevin Thorson was a normal, healthy 19-year-old. Music was his life, and he planned to play his guitar and use his talents for God. Abruptly, all seemed to end July 11, 1997.

His recalls the words from that dreaded phone call: Pam, you need to sit down... Kevin has been in an accident... paralyzed... ventilator... hospital... She could only comprehend the bits in between those horrifying words. Kevin was lying paralyzed on a ventilator in a foreign country with a broken neck.

Website Spotlight: CMADDICT (New, Improved Site)

Kevin Thorson is my brother. He's also the owner of the Christian music website CMADDICT.com. The website has been up for many years, and it's gone through many changes. Recently, the website was changed to a new, improved site. There's a lot to discover on the website. There's articles, reviews, Spotify playlists, podcasts, interviews, and much more. If you love Christian music, I highly recommend checking out his website. I, myself, especially love the Spotify playlists. He's got so many of them, and they're popular playlists. I really like listening to them - check them out for yourself here.

Right now, I'm a contributor on CMADDICT. I write album, book, and movie reviews for it. You can read my newest review here of Skillet's latest album. At the moment, I'm working on another album review to be finished today. I'll also start listening to an audiobook of Rebecca St. James' new book, Lasting Ever (that I'll be reviewing next). I'm not sure what album to review next, so I'll have to see what I can find. If you have any ideas of what I should review, let me know! It would be fun. I really enjoy contributing to the site, and I'll continue to look for new things to review. Because there's a lot out there. 💓

If you don't know the history of my brother, I'd like to share it with you. Many years ago, my brother was in a life-altering accident. He broke his neck. He endured months of hospital care, going through physical therapy, and learning how to drive a wheelchair. He was later able to be transported home (something they said would be impossible). His story is just so incredible as they said he wouldn't be able to do what he's accomplished so far. My family has been through a lot, but we're together taking care of each other. I'm constantly amazed at how my brother deals daily with his limited mobility. I know it's not easy, and I'm always there to help him. As a family, we do what we can to keep moving forward. My family's perseverance is remarkable as we all work hard to endure this journey of faith.

I'm so excited about Kevin's revamped website. He's put so much into it. You really have to check it out. I'll also be writing reviews more frequently. Website Spotlight: CMADDICT

My brother has a Christian music website called CMADDICT. It's a place for all kinds of Christian music. Pop, rock, contemporary, etc. On the site, you can find news, interviews, music videos, articles, free music, and more. I especially recommend checking out the site's playlists on Spotify. They're really popular, and they've got great music. My brother has done a fantastic job of putting the playlists together. I love listening to them.

CMADDICT has been around for a while. I remember when it first started. I was a contributor in the beginning stages. I then became assistant editor. I wrote reviews and interviews for it. With my brother, I plan on being a contributor again. I'll be writing album reviews for the site. They won't be posted here, but I'll provide a link to the reviews on the right sidebar of my blog. If you like my Facebook page, you can find a future link posted there, as well. I plan on signing up for Spotify to listen to the newest Christian music, so that I can review them. I'm really looking forward to it. Going to be awesome.

My brother has a disability, but that doesn't stop him. He manages the site himself, and he does everything. He inspires me with the hard work he puts into his site. He's talked with numerous Chrisitan artists. He even made a connection for me to interview Rebecca St. James. I remember being so nervous about it. It was one of my first interviews done over the phone with someone. I'm so thankful that I got the chance to talk with different people. It was a fun and exciting time. I'm eager to get back to writing reviews again.

Kevin is my older brother. He goes through so much each day, but he doesn't complain. He works on his site and helps new artists with their music. I've added a little of his bio below here. I couldn't move, breathe or anything. All I could do is blink. The doctor there was sure to inform my parents that I would never again regain anything."
